Maggie Lemere, Senior Communications Specialist—Framework Change, is passionate about storytelling: she compiled and edited a book of oral histories about Burma, composed refugees' stories in West Africa, and wrote a “people’s history” of successful U.S.-Cuban educational collaborations. Her book, Nowhere To Be Home: Narratives from Survivors of Burma’s Military Regime (McSweeney’s & Voice of Witness) gives an intimate look into the lives of 22 human rights abuse survivors from Burma, including migrant workers, journalists and youth activists. Maggie also previously worked as a trainer for Ashoka fellow Katie Redford’s organization, EarthRights International, based in Thailand. Maggie received her M.A. in International Peace & Conflict Resolution from American University.
