Philip Auerswald is an author, educator, and entrepreneur. His most recent book is The Coming Prosperity: How Entrepreneurs Are Transforming the Global Economy (Oxford University Press, 2012). He is the founding board chair of the National Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation; an adviser to the Clinton Global Initiative; the co-founder and co-editor of Innovations, a quarterly journal from MIT Press about entrepreneurial solutions to global challenges; and an associate professor at George Mason University. In the summer of 2012 he served as the lead instructor for AshokaU Online, the first global social entrepreneurship "MOOC". He is currently working on projects related to veterans' entrepreneurship; youth and economic opportunity; and mobile health services.
