Robin Heller provides fundraising leadership to NGOs committed to social justice. Her career in philanthropy came out of working at the front-lines with children at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. For more than a decade, she has mobilized financial resources for such outstanding NGOs as Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Children’s Defense Fund, and University of Pennsylvania. She is the Chief Development Officer at the Washington-based Center for Public Integrity, a nonprofit investigative news organization working globally on issues such as health care, juvenile justice, money and politics, and international crime and corruption. Much of her work involves international philanthropy. She received her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in comparative literature and her master’s in social work from Columbia University, with foreign study in Russia.She is the past chair of the board of Mishkan Shalom synagogue and has served on the board of Street Sense, a newspaper by the homeless about issues of homelessness, in Washington, D.C. She loves travel, hiking, and great meals.
